Having received no bug reports from users in the four whole days since the last beta release, the Interchange development group is pleased to release Interchange 5.6.0 (stable) in time for its presentation at LinuxTag 2008.  See the 5.5.2 (beta) release announcement, which included a list of the major changes since the 5.4 (stable) series.

You can help to improve the post-LinuxTag 5.6.1 (stabler) version by downloading this release, installing it, testing it and reporting your experience to the interchange-users mail list.

Please read the UPGRADE file, included in the tar archive, for information about the upgrade procedure, and the small number of backward-incompatible changes introduced with this release.  Also see the WHATSNEW Link to an external page file to find out what's new.
